Dera Baba Nanak

History of Ardas

ARDAS is a basic religious activity in Sikh Religion. At the same time it is a capsule in which Sikh history & traditions have been enshrined. In humility, we daily stand up and and pray before Waheguru to grant us boon to remain ever steadfast in the sacred cause to the last hair of our body, to last breath.

In the series of illustrated books, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is taking pleasure to publish "ARDAS". I am confident that "ARDAS" will go a long way to help readers understand its meaning & nuance. I am glad to state that other two publications of us "Episode of Chamkaur Sahib" & "Supreme Sacrifice of Young Sons" have earned lauerls & been awarded prizes. We also intend to portray the history of martyrs in four volumes, one of that has already been published. May Waheguru bless us with vigour & strength. I am glad to see the renewed edition of Illustrated ARDAS. I hope it will be liked most by one and all.
